'There is no more': Montgomery County looks to bond, certificates amid funding issues



At an Aug. 9 budget workshop, Montgomery County commissioners discussed a potential infrastructure bond measure as well as issuing certificates of obligation to cover major projects as the county already stands $7 million over budget and faces potentially raising the tax rate for fiscal year 2023-24.

Tomball enters Stage 2 drought; mandatory water restrictions in place

The city of Tomball has entered a Stage 2 drought, with mandatory water conservation measures in place for residents, according to an Aug. 8 news release.. A Stage 2 drought is triggered when total daily demand exceeds 70% of the city’s production capacity for three consecutive days.
