Frisco ISD's board approved a stable tax rate though the average homeowner could see their tax bills increased by $141 with the district’s new tax rate.
The board approved the district’s tax rate for the 2026-27 fiscal year during an Aug. 17 meeting. The FY 26-27 tax rate is $1.0194 per $100 valuation, the same as last year’s.
Though the FY26-27 tax rate is the same as the FY25-26 rate, individual tax bills can increase as property values rise. The district’s estimated final taxable property value for 2026 totals $66.49 billion, up $1.21 billion from last year, according to board documents.

This year’s maintenance and operation tax rate will remain unchanged at $0.7494 per $100 valuation, while the interest and sinking rate also remains unchanged at $0.2700 per $100 valuation.
District documents state the M&O rate has steadily declined since 2018, falling 42.06 cents from $1.17 to $0.7494 in 2025. According to district documents, the new tax rate will increase annual homeowner costs by $141.
In 2026, the average FISD residence taxable value is $565,084, a 2.5% increase from last year.
