Jennifer Garrett

Founder and Chief Facility Management Officer

Jennifer Garrett is her husband’s partner in innovation. When John had the idea to create Community Impact Newspaper, she was by his side and encouraged him to launch the company.

Jennifer loves supporting her community and has always loved finding the stories behind local businesses. She coined the phrase “Everyone loves maps, duh,” which the CI editorial and design teams take to heart when they design CI’s many maps and graphics.

A licensed interior designer, Jennifer received a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Sam Houston State University and worked as an interior designer in the Houston and Austin areas prior to moving to Round Rock. She has won several design awards from the American Society of Interior Designers for her work on CI’s employee-friendly workplaces. Additionally, Jennifer and John were named People of the Year in 2013 by Tribeza, an arts & culture magazine in Austin. She also balances her work at CI with raising three daughters with John.
