Claire Love

Chief Operating Officer

Claire Love has been with Community Impact Newspaper since the beginning. Though she didn’t officially join the company until 2006, she was involved with the launch of the first issue in Round Rock/Pflugerville in 2005. Once officially on board, she launched the company’s second paper in her home market of Cedar Park/Leander. After a little more than a year as general manager, Claire was promoted to publisher of the Austin metro editions and then to chief operating officer in 2013.

Claire has served on the board of directors for the Cedar Park Community Foundation, the Seton Ignite Advisory Board and the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce as well as participated in the Leadership Leander ISD program. On the chamber board, she served as vice chairwoman of communications and was the 2013 board chairwoman. Claire received the Chairman’s Award of Excellence in 2011 after launching the chamber’s first annual Cedar Fest, an event that continues today.

Claire graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in management and a certificate in international business. Claire is an avid fan of the outdoors, enjoys gardening and cooking, and rarely misses an Aggie football game. She and her husband, Chance, reside in Leander with their two children, John and Emma, and their rescue dog, Waylon.

Claire led the vision and development of CI’s homegrown enterprise resource planning system. CIIMS (Community Impact Information Management System) has integrated every functional area in the company and has completely transformed the way business is conducted at CI.

How Claire fosters creative and innovative thinking …

She believes “none of us is as smart as all of us,” so Claire creates forums for people to come together to brainstorm ideas. There is a large focus on process efficiency so that everyone has daily capacity for innovation.
