Jason Culpepper

Houston Metro Publisher

Jason Culpepper joined the Community Impact team in 2009 and is passionate about being an Impacter. In an industry that is known for its recent struggles, CI proves to constantly prevail, and he is grateful to be a part of it all. Jason is constantly striving to be a better community member and aid in raising the bar in terms of content with every issue that CI publishes.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in radio and television production from Sam Houston State University, he found himself as the major account executive at the Houston Chronicle. Prior to his role at CI, Jason had multiple roles, from regional director to publisher, at Houston NewHomeGuide.com.

Jason currently serves on the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation board and the Management District for Towne Lake.

Jason believes in giving his staff accolades …

He loves giving high fives—they are free and should be given out often. When his sales team brings in a new customer agreement, its members also love to ring the team cowbell..

He wants everyone to know …

Ain’t no party like a CI newspaper launch party!”

One of Jason’s favorite mantras is …

“Everyone loves maps!” CI co-owner John Garrett’s mantra lives on through reader feedback of how the maps in CI’s editions set the company apart from its competitors.
