Filing period for 11 Katy-area seats begins Jan. 15 for May election

The candidate filing period for the local election opens Jan. 15 and closes Feb. 14, according to Texas Secretary of State’s website. Multiple positions for Katy ISD, Katy City Council, Fulshear City Council and Lamar CISD will be on the ballot.
