The League of Women Voters of Texas, a nonpartisan civic nonprofit, has put together an interactive, online voter guide to help educate people about the many upcoming races across Texas during election season.

The interactive version of the guide, www.vote411.org, offers a variety of tools. The website will allow Texans to: check voter registration status; find the races and candidates on their ballot based on their address; access and compare candidates' qualifications; access voting information and assistance; find polling locations and times; and create a printable personalized ballot to take to the polls.

"With the changes in election laws in Texas, voters really need simple, accessible tools to help them navigate the voting process before heading to the polls,” said Grace Chimene, president of the League of Women Voters of Texas, in a press release. “Vote 411 is a trusted, nonpartisan online election resource."

The voter guide can also be downloaded as a PDF for viewing or printing and is set to become available for use in libraries and other locations across Texas in early February.

Here are key dates for the 2022 primary elections:

  • First day of early voting: Monday, Feb. 14

  • Last day for vote by mail application to be received by election office: Friday, Feb. 18

  • Last day of early voting: Friday, Feb. 25

  • Election day and last day for vote by mail ballot to be received: Tuesday, March 1

According to the website, the league's vision is a "democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge and the confidence to participate."
