Collin County construction
1. Custer Road
Project: The North Texas Municipal Water District is currently working to replace an aging pipeline along Custer Road in Plano.
Update: According to a Plano city news release, 4,900 feet of the 9,100-foot pipeline have been installed. Permanent paving at West 15th Street and Pitman Drive will be scheduled pending water testing.

2. Legacy Drive intersection improvements
Project: Crews are working to improve intersections in west Plano, including Corporate Drive and Legacy Drive.
Update: Several lanes along Legacy Drive will see closures for ongoing construction.

3. US 75 expansion
Project: The project will expand US 75 into five lanes by converting existing high-occupancy vehicle lanes into “technology lanes,” which will have designated time periods for HOV travel but will be open for all drivers at other times.
Update: Richardson crews are on track to complete the project by summer 2026.

Denton County
4. Bonnie Brae Street Phase 6 widening
Project: Workers will widen the road with two additional lanes and a pedestrian and bike path alongside the road in Denton. The phase is part of a multiyear seven-phase expansion project.
Update: Contractors began work to modify the soil in preparation for the roadway expansion at the northern part of Bonnie Brae Street.

5. Alice Street reconstruction
Project: The project will replace the waterline, curb, gutter and portions of the sidewalk along Alice Street in Denton. The project’s scope also includes a total roadway reconstruction. This project is funded from the $50 million Neighborhood 2 bond approved by voters in 2019.
Update: Crews are nearly complete with concrete work with final paving scheduled for late April.
