Upcoming projects
Project: Coleman Street in Prosper is being widened to four lanes. One project will widen the roadway from two to four lanes between Gorgeous Road and Prosper Trail, and a second project will construct the remaining two southbound lanes of Coleman Street between Prosper Trail and Prosper High School.
Update: Both projects are nearing completion of the design phase. The town has acquired necessary right of way for both sections, and utility relocation is underway.
2. Hillcrest Road construction
Project: Hillcrest Road in Frisco will be updated from SH 121 to Main Street.
Update: The project is in the planning phase, with its design phase set to end in 2027.
Ongoing projects
3. Carroll Boulevard utility installation
Project: This Atmos Gas project will see new gas lines installed along Carroll Boulevard in Denton from West Prairie Street to Pearl Street.
Update: Lanes will be closed along Carroll Boulevard as crews install the gas lines.
4. John McCain Road bridge construction
Project: The project includes widening a culvert on Big Bear Creek and roadway improvements along John McCain Road in Colleyville. During construction, the bridge has remained closed.
Update: The project’s contractor began construction on stabilizing the road’s subgrade on the western end of the project in mid-August. Work on the project has been delayed because of issues related to the delivery and installation of a guardrail along the bridge.
Project: Plano’s fifth year of ultra-thin asphalt overlay projects will extend the lifespan of four major roadways around the city:
Update: This year’s asphalt road work is expected to wrap by the end of September.
