New Jersey-based home automation technology company,
Crestron Electronics, announced April 11 that it would locate its second largest campus to Legacy Tower in Plano. The 56,000-square-foot campus is slated for completion in July, according to a Crestron news release.
Based in Rockleigh, New Jersey, Crestron has sales and support offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia. The company is expected to bring hundreds of new jobs to the North Texas area, including positions in research and development, customer support, engineering, manufacturing and IT support.
“Expanding within the Texas market is logical for our business,” said Steve Rosa, vice president of human resources for Crestron, in the release. “We are utilizing Plano’s reputation for having both excellent technical resources and being consistently rated one of the best places to work. As big as we’ve gotten, with more than 90 locations in more than 35 countries ... We involve every employee in our success and we have a real sense of pride in our products.”
The new location demonstrates Crestron's continued success as a global leader in integrated control solutions, according to Crestron CEO Randy Klein. The project is also the latest evidence of growth for the company, whose push-of-a-button technologies include audio visual, lighting, shading, climate, and security through one platform.
“We are dedicated to going above and beyond to meet the needs of our rapidly growing customer base,” Klein said in the release. “This expansion will help us address the increased demand for our solutions and better serve our customers and partners in the region.”
The new location is being developed by the
Trammell Crow Company and Principal Financial Group.
Crestron will be participating in the
