Natalie Goodwin hated gym class in high school. But that changed.
"I would say from 19, fitness became very important to me—everywhere I went," she said. "I used to lift weights a lot. I've kind of been through the whole gamut of fitness. So it is really a fair statement to say there isn't anything I haven't tried."
Exercising is a lifestyle choice for Goodwin and also a full-time job. After a Pilates studio closed in her neighborhood, Goodwin opened Core Fitness & Pilates in January 2011 to offer a personalized workout experience. She expanded her studio on Dec. 5 with a room full of Pilates equipment.
She teaches Pilates and TRX suspension classes, while other instructors teach Zumba, hula hooping and pole dancing fitness. Prices begin at $125 for eight group classes.
