New York Butcher Shoppe will be opening in Colleyville this summer.

Owners Bryson and Ruth Nokes first encountered the brand in Greenville, South Carolina, last year. Ruth Nokes said she and her husband loved the premium meat, food and wine, and wanted to bring it to Texas.

The original shop was founded in 1999 in Charleston, South Carolina, by the D'Elia family who brought their Brooklyn Italian influence to the south, according to the website. The company has franchises in seven states, with this location being the first in Texas.

“Anyone looking for a New York-style Butcher Shop and recipes will be excited,” Ruth Nokes said.

Among the offerings will be beef, chicken, pork, veal and lamb, according to the website. Nokes said they will offer Certified Angus Beef, dry-aged steaks, Australian and Japanese wagyu, classic New York strip steaks and housemade sausage. There will also be prepared homemade meals to go.
