Incumbents for Precinct 1 and Precinct 3 on the Collin County Commissioners Court, Susan Fletcher and Darrell Hale, respectively, beat their challengers in the Nov. 3 general election with all vote centers reporting.

The commissioners court will remain primarily Republican with the wins over Dianne C. Mayo for Precinct 3 and Courtney Brooks for Precinct 1.

Hale has 61% of the vote for his Precinct 3 seat. Fletcher has nearly 59%.

“Thank you to all the constituents of Precinct 3," Hale said. "I know that this election has been very divisive for some, but we've got four years to work towards common goals in Precinct 3 to make Collin County a very successful place for everybody."

Fletcher also thanked her voters and said she was glad to see the high voter turnout in Collin County.

"I think America wins and and certainly Texas wins and Collin County wins when that happens," she said. "It's disappointing when you see a low voter turnout in whatever election that you're facing, and this is a very clear message when you have a high voter turnout. The voters have spoken and I'm very, very thankful."

In addition to county commissioner races, there are seven district judge races for which voters were able to cast ballots Nov. 3. All six Republican incumbents in those races pulled ahead of their opponents. The 401st District judge race also shows Republican candidate George Flint pulling ahead of Democrat candidate Tonya Holt.

These results are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk. Under Texas election law, the clerk accepts and counts mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 4 if they were sent from inside the U.S. or Nov. 9 if they were sent from outside the U.S.
