McKinney ISD officials approve 3% raise for teachers, staff in 2024-25 school year

Employees, including teachers, nurses, counselors, librarians and other eligible positions, will receive 3% raises for the next school year. The cost of the raise for the district is $5.64 million. The compensation increase was approved by the district’s board of trustees May 13.

McKinney ISD names new director of career and technical education

Jae Gaskill, principal at McKinney North High School, will serve as McKinney ISD's director of career and technical education in the 2024-25 school year. Gaskill will replace CTE Senior Director Todd Young who is retiring.


McKinney ISD officials name executive director of secondary school leadership

Jeff Banner will serve as its executive director of secondary school leadership.Banner will serve as a support, guide and resource to the district’s secondary principals.

The McKinney Education Foundation awarded $825,150 in scholarships to McKinney ISD 2024 graduating seniors—the largest amount in the foundation’s history. The scholarships were awarded to 380 students and celebrated during the foundation's Scholarship Awards Celebration held May 1.
