A new McDonald’s location is expected to be constructed at the intersection of Custer Road and Virginia Parkway.

McKinney City Council members unanimously approved a request for a specific use permit to allow for the drive-thru restaurant to be developed during a March 19 meeting. The location will total nearly 4,500-square-feet and will include two drive-thru and ordering lanes, according to city documents.

McDonald’s serves burgers, chicken nuggets, salads and more, including a breakfast menu, according to its website. The company has more than 38,000 restaurants worldwide, according to its website.
