A three-day closure and future road closures are planned along East Belt Line Road in Coppell to accommodate construction for the planned Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line.

Both projects will include the installation of a Silver Line railway crossing along Fairway Drive and Moore Road, respectively.

What you need to know

Closures are planned at the intersection of East Belt Line Road and Fairway Drive starting at 9 a.m. Nov. 3 and ending at 3 p.m. Nov. 6, according to construction filings. Currently, southbound lanes on Fairway Drive are closed through Nov. 2 after work on the project began in September.

Per subsequent construction notifications by the project’s contractor Archer Western Herzog, a project impacting Moore Road is planned to get underway Nov. 8. No full closure along Moore Road has been announced.


Northbound traffic on Moore Road near the intersection with East Belt Line Road will be closed off beginning Nov. 8 and concluding Dec. 11. Southbound travel lanes will likely be closed Dec. 11 through Jan. 11.

What else?

The DART Silver Line project is a commuter rail project with a cost over $2 billion. The train’s service is expected to begin in late 2025 or by mid-2026.
