Killian Middle School and Briarhill Middle School will each have a new principal for the 2023-24 school year.

Lewisville ISD officials announced the hires of Amy Sanford and Tina Krol to the positions at Killian and Briarhill, respectively, on the district website. The hires mark two more in what has been a flurry of administrative moves for LISD since the end of the 2022-23 school year.

The details

Krol was announced in late May as Briarhill's next principal, and Sanford was named Killian's principal on June 5. Sanford will replace Krol, who was Killian's principal for the last three years. Krol replaces three-year Briarhill Principal Leslie Davenport, who was named director of special education in LISD. All three begin their positions immediately, per LISD officials.

Sanford comes to LISD after serving as assistant principal at Ford Middle School in Allen ISD for four years. Before becoming Ford's assistant principal, she was the school's instructional coach for two years. Sanford has taught elementary school, middle school and high school math for 15 years, according to LISD officials.

Krol has worked in LISD for 16 years, according to district officials.
