International flights
The Denver-based airline announced 22 new routes in a Sept. 4 news release. The airline will add new routes from DFW Airport to Guatemala and El Salvador starting this winter.
Weekly flights to La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, Guatemala, will start Dec. 20. Two-times-a-week service from DFW Airport will go to El Salvador International Airport in San Salvador, El Salvador. Introductory fares for one-way trips are $69 through Sept. 10, according to the news release.
“We are on a mission to increase service domestically and internationally, and in the process redefine air travel by demonstrating that it can be comfortable, convenient and affordable,” said Josh Flyr, Frontier Airlines vice president of network and operations design, in a news release. “Whether consumers are planning to explore destinations across the U.S. or to escape to the sunny Caribbean this winter, we can’t wait to welcome them aboard.”
Domestic flights
Frontier announced flights from DFW Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in an Aug. 26 news release, as well as a route to New Orleans in a Sept. 2 news release. Those are part of 20 new routes added throughout the United States.
Flights from DFW Airport to Broward County Airport in Fort Lauderdale will start Nov. 20, leaving and arriving three times a week, according to the news release.
Ahead of Mardi Gras, Frontier will fly to and from DFW Airport two times a week to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, beginning Feb. 13, 2026, according to a news release.
The background
In July, Frontier announced new flights to El Paso, Tucson International Airport and Charleston International Airport, according to previous reporting.
