Upcoming projects
Legacy Drive, Stonebrook Parkway widening
Project: Legacy Drive will be widened from Lebanon Road to Stonebrook Parkway. Stonebrook will be widened from Legacy to 4th Army Drive. The roadways will be widened and reconstructed.
Update: The project is in the design phase and is expected to start construction later this year.
FM 1385 widening
Project: FM 1385 from US 380 to Union Park Boulevard in Prosper will be widened to four lanes with curbs and gutters.
Update: The Texas Transportation Commission approved $38.2 million to widen the roadway as part of the Texas Department of Transportation’s 2027 Unified Transportation Program in August, a TxDOT representative said. The Unified Transportation Program is a plan, not an official allocation of funds, so it is subject to change.
Ongoing projects
Redstone Road utility and pavement replacement
Project: Crews are working along Redstone Road in Denton from Hercules Lane to Neptune Drive to replace utilities and pavement.
Update: Crews have completed lime-stabilized subgrade, fine grading and placement of the first lift of asphalt. Crews are currently working on curb and gutter improvements.
SH 5 utility relocations Phase 1
Project: The city of McKinney’s water and wastewater utilities will be relocated in advance of TxDOT’s upcoming reconstruction project along SH 5.
Update: Construction is approximately 80% complete. All relocations south of Eldorado Parkway/Industrial Boulevard have been completed and TxDOT’s project is underway. Various locations between Elm Street and US 380 along SH 5 will experience localized lane closures and detours to complete remaining construction.
West Shore Drive, Fontana Avenue improvements
Project: Work consists of pavement, sidewalk and utility improvements on West Shore Drive from Campbell Road to Arapaho Road and Fontana from West Shore to Meadow View Drive in Richardson.
Update: Crews are currently replacing sewer lines on West Shore from Warren Way to Woodland Way and installing a new water line on Fontana.
