Construction for a roundabout at the intersection of McDonwell School Road and Westcoat Drive began May 14. The work, which is expected to last through August, will also include storm drain installations, utility relocations, paving and new signs, among other improvements.
Another roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of John McCain Road and Westcoat Drive. That work will begin June 15 and is expected to last through spring 2021.
City Council approved both roundabout projects at a September 2019 meeting as part of the city’s fiscal year 2019-20 capital improvement plan.
The two projects total $2.4 million, according to the plan.
