The details
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction and renovations on the freestanding building is expected to take more than six months.
The renovations include exterior modifications, such as new lighting and paint, and interior construction such as new ceilings, finishes and plumbing.
The total cost of the project will be $1.5 million that is privately funded, the filing states.
Vidorra will take over the space previously occupied by Hoffbrau Steak & Grill House, which closed Feb. 18, 2024, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
What else?
Construction and renovations are expected to be completed by the beginning of November.
This will be the fifth Vidorra location to open in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to previous reporting.
The restaurant serves signature dishes such as molcajete bowls, which come out heated to 400 degrees and will keep the queso hot for 45 minutes, and queso-birria empanadas, trompo street fries, street tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas.
Vidorra will also have margaritas, tequila flights, frozen margarita flights, wine, beer and cocktails.
