On Sept. 17, the Grapevine Planning & Zoning Commission and Grapevine City Council both approved a conditional use permit for a new Tex-Mex restaurant called Vidorra.
James Faller with Dallas-based Milkshake Concepts said the building would undergo interior renovations, new exterior painting, new facade design and will enclose the patio area.
“We are different and we will stand out,” he said.
The details
Faller said he spent six months in Guadalajara, Mexico, to help craft the menu. This will be Vidorra’s fifth location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. There are locations in Addison, Grand Prairie and two in Dallas, according to the website.
No opening date for this location was announced during the joint meeting.

One of the menu items Faller pointed out was the molcajete bowls. He said the bowls come out heated to 400 degrees and will keep the queso hot for 45 minutes.
Other menu items include:
- Queso-birria empanadas
- Trompo street fries
- Street tacos
- Enchiladas
- Quesadillas
