Prosper officials OK development plans at Frontier Parkway, future DNT
Frontier Gateway, a commercial development on the southwest corner of Frontier Parkway and Dallas Parkway, is moving forward after nine months of review. The development will mainly consist of retail and restaurants with limited office space near the southwest corner, according to the plan.

Frisco City Council approves Trader Joe’s mixed-use district
The city of Frisco is set to get its first Trader Joe’s grocery store as part of a proposed mixed-use development. The Frisco City Council unanimously approved the development Oct. 6, which will include a 12,500-square-foot Trader Joe’s, a 158-unit senior living facility and other mixed-use elements.

McKinney's Sunset Amphitheater project nears 70% completion as investment rises to $334M
The upcoming Sunset Amphitheater project in McKinney is about 70% complete and could accommodate more shows per year than previously expected, according to developers. Bob Mudd, Venu’s vice president of construction and market expansion, said the entertainment venue could receive a temporary certificate of occupancy by April 1.

Celina officials preview proposed mixed-use development near downtown
City officials are moving forward with plans to turn the grain silos near downtown Celina into a mixed-use community destination. Preliminary plans for the site include a brewery, food halls, shopping, event space and a hotel, all located along a linear park that follows the natural contours of Doe Branch Creek.

Plano commission to hold public hearing for Collin Creek redevelopment changes
Plano's planning and zoning commission scheduled a public hearing for the Collin Creek redevelopment to potentially move the location of a planned hotel. Centurion American, the developer for the planned mixed-use development at the former Collin Creek Mall, is seeking to change the location for a planned 49,946-square-foot hotel within the development.

32-acre townhome, commercial development proposed for northwest McKinney
McKinney City Council members will consider annexation and zoning later this month for a potential townhome development north of US 380. McKinney’s Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the zoning request for nearly 32 acres during a Sept. 22 meeting.
