A new local brewery is just around the corner.

Frisco City Council unanimously approved an ordinance allowing 3 Empires Brewing Co. to brew and sell alcohol during a March 21 meeting two weeks after council originally approved the brewery’s zoning request March 7.

The approved specific use permit described in the ordinance allows a brewery on the 0.1 acres of land on the corner of Fifth Street and Main Street 3 Empires Brewing Co. will move into, an area previously zoned as original town commercial, according to meeting documents.

Parking plans for the brewery were laid out in a short letter from 3 Empires Brewing Co. included with the meeting documents, stating customers and staff will have access to the on-site parking lot used by nearby retail stores as well as street parking.

Details on loading zones for the brewery, which would be contained to the parking lot and a loading zone north of the building, were also listed in the statement from 3 Empires Brewery Co., according to meeting documents.

“Delivery vehicles will not be allowed to park or stop on 5th Street next to the building,” co-owner David Wible said in the statement. “Since this is a smaller facility, any deliveries should be hand delivered to the suite or potentially using a hand truck [or] dolly.”

The brewery is expected to open during summer 2023.
