At a news conference May 4, Dallas Cowboys Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones and his family made some announcements regarding new businesses and monuments coming to The Star in Frisco, a 91-acre mixed-use development.

The new practice facility will have an interactive Ring of Honor Walk presented by Dr Pepper recognizing every former player and coaches in the Ring of Honor at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. There will be 21 monuments representing members of the Ring of Honor, with No. 12 Roger Staubach and No. 88 Drew Pearson, who were both present at the conference, placed 50 yards apart in honor of the legendary Hail Mary Pass.

“No one in the NFL is doing it like the Dallas Cowboys, right?” Pearson said. “We set the standard, we did it back in the day and the best thing about it is we’re continuing to set the standard.”

The Cowboys also announced new restaurant and business partners coming to the development. Some of them include Liberty Burger, Mi Cocina, Nestle Toll House Café By Chip and Neighborhood Services.

Dee Lincoln Prime, a high-end steakhouse, will be opening its first location at The Star. City Works, based in Minnesota, and Tupelo Honey Cafe, based in North Carolina, will be joining the development.

Next Step Dance Performing Arts Center, located in Frisco Square, will be moving to The Star by the fall.
