The Plano Chamber of Commerce is making a move from its office at 1200 E. 15th St. in downtown Plano to 5400 Independence Parkway this year. The new building will prove to be more centrally located for the business community in Plano, said Jamee Jolly, president and CEO of the Plano Chamber of Commerce. “In partnership with LegacyTexas [Bank], we will operate a business center that will provide a meeting space and conference centers,” Jolly said. “The facility will offer drop-in meeting space and conference room for Plano Chamber members with state-of-the-art technology, a coffee bar and access to office amenities.” Jolly, who made the announcement at the chamber's annual meeting on Jan. 26, said the chamber wants to project a more modern and professional image while meeting the needs of a growing membership. The Jan. 26 luncheon also marked the chamber's 70th anniversary.  The move also falls in sync with the city's long-term redevelopment plans for the downtown Plano, Jolly said. Work has started on the new offices and staff is expected to move into the new space soon.
