Radio Coffee & Beer will open its third location, Radio Rosewood, in October.

The new spot at 1115 E. 11th St., Austin is opening in what was previously Try Hard Coffee Roasters, which closed in April. Before that, it was Blue Dahlia Bistro.

The details

Founded by duo Greg and Jack Wilson, Radio first opened on Menchaca Road in South Austin in 2014, and Radio/East opened last year. Both locations sit on one- or two-acre properties that house a coffee shop and a large outdoor seating area.

With about 3,000 square feet to work with at the newest location, Radio Rosewood will be the first location to combine the coffee shop and cocktail lounge experience with Shortwave Diner, the business’ food truck concept, into one.

“We're excited to implement all that we've learned over the past 10 years of service in Austin and take on new elements so we can continue to learn and grow,” wrote Operating Partner Trey Hudson to Community Impact in an email.

Radio Rosewood will offer breakfast tacos, smash burgers, vegan and vegetarian options and more. The drink menu will include specialty cocktails, draft beers and natural wines. Espresso drinks will be offered all day.
