As part of its plans for statewide expansion, Texas-based chain Freebirds World Burrito announced its second store opening of the year is set for May 30 at 19220 I-35, Ste. 100, Kyle. There will be a ribbon-cutting event at 2 p.m., but the first 25 guests in line at 10:30 a.m. will receive free burritos for a year. Guests will also be offered free samples of chips and dip.

The Kyle store, like much of the Dry River District development that it will be located in, is all new construction and joins the likes of Costco and P. Terry's. Freebirds Kyle is around 2,500 square feet and will offer both indoor and outdoor seating for diners.

The chain has just over 60 locations throughout Texas and is known for its customizable burritos, bowls, tacos and more. www.freebirds.com
