Kyle Planning and Zoning Commission elects Michele Christie as chair

Commissioner Michele Christie was chosen chair of the Kyle Planning and Zoning Commission Feb. 12 with one dissenting vote.

Jo Fenety, who served as vice chair under Rick Koch before he was elected to City Council, was also nominated but declined.

“I’m going to try and travel a little bit,” Fenety said. “I think it’s only fair to the group to tell you that up front. I will be here most of the time but occasionally I’m going to take off.”

Christie, who has been on the planning and zoning commission in the past, was appointed in October.
