At a meeting Oct. 23, the Kyle Planning and Zoning Commission re-elected Rick Koch as chairperson in a 5-2 split between commissioners; Commissioner Timothy Kay held the other nomination.

Koch, who is also running for City Council, Place 5, was nominated by Commissioner Paul Scheibmeir. If elected, he will have to step down from the commission.

“I think he’s done a good job,” Scheibmeir said.

Commissioner Jo Fenety was elected vice chairperson in a 4-3 vote, winning over Scheibmeir, who was nominated by Koch.
