The restaurant will open at 205 W. Hopkins St., which was previously home to Local Joe's Kitchen.
Owner Brandon Gawthorp said he opened Urban Bird's first location in Sept. 2020. Now, Urban Bird has 13 locations with 4 under construction.
The Veteran-owned restaurant serves Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches and tenders.
"Our most popular item is called Urban Fries, so it's fries with macaroni and cheese and we chop up Nashville hot chicken," Gawthorp said.
The San Marcos location will also serve beer and wine.
