RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles, scheduled for Aug. 1 at Brushy Creek Amphitheater in Hutto, has been canceled. All ticket refunds have been processed, according to city officials.

What happened

The concert, which features nostalgic hits from “Sgt. Pepper” and “Magical Mystery Tour,” would have been the first show at Brushy Creek Amphitheater this year. Ticket information has been taken off the venue’s site and the tour date was removed from the band’s page.

Some context

This most recent cancellation follows a string of complications with shows at Brushy Creek Amphitheater. The city of Hutto brought on Directors of Chaos to manage events at the venue last April.

The firm was originally committed to booking 10 shows from July to December 2023, but only three were scheduled, two of which were canceled. DOC’s contract with Hutto was revised in March, stipulating that the firm schedule at least five shows by the end of the year.

If DOC meets that requirement, its contract will continue through December 2025, with the chance to extend through 2027.
