All Austin public golf courses will close today at noon and will reopen at 10 a.m. tomorrow, weather permitting, said Shelley Parks, public information officer for the Austin Parks and Recreation Department.

“[The schedule change] is because of the cold and wind,” she said.

The water facilities—including bathrooms and fountains—at the courses have been turned off and will not resume until the weather is above freezing at night, Parks said.

Additionally, a scheduled rangegrinder clinic for tomorrow at the Clay/Kizer Golf Course is cancelled, she said.

For more information, Parks directed users to call their individual golf courses listed at www.austintexas.gov/golf.
