Grand Parkway officials expect segments F-1 and F-2—from Hwy. 290 to I-45—to be completed by the end of 2015. However, contractor Zachry-Odebrecht Parkway Builders is now expected to complete work on Segment G—from I-45 to Hwy. 59—in early 2016. Several lanes and ramps are closed for construction. Road closures through the fall include the I-45 northbound exit ramp at Spring Crossing Drive and the Hardy Toll Road, the I-45 northbound frontage left lane from the Spring Stuebner Road entrance ramp to north of exit No. 72, and the I-45 northbound entrance ramps at Spring Stuebner Road and FM 2920.Timeline: July 2013-December 2015 (segments F-1 and F-2), July 2013-early 2016 (Segment G) Cost: $1 billion Funding sources: Texas Department of Transportation
2. T. C. Jester Boulevard signal installation
Originally planned for completion in May and postponed until December, the installation of traffic signals and improvements along T.C. Jester Boulevard is now scheduled to be complete in the first quarter of 2016. The project will add signals and other improvements at 10 intersections along T.C. Jester Boulevard between FM 1960 and FM 2920. The first four signals were activated Sept. 14 at Chapel Bend, Aspen Bend and Kennonview drives as well as Glenmere Lane.

3. Aldine Westfield Road widening
Construction could begin in early 2016 on the widening of Aldine Westfield Road from East Louetta to Riley Fuzzel roads. Harris County awarded the construction contract to Allgood Construction Company and has held a preconstruction meeting regarding the project. The project has a 240-day construction contract and will widen the roadway from a two-lane asphalt road to a four-lane thoroughfare.

4. Gosling Road widening Segment 1
Harris County has accepted bids for the first segment of the Gosling Road expansion, from Spring Stuebner to West Mossy Oaks roads. The county plans to award the project to the lowest bidder—Texas Sterling Construction—in December. The expansion will widen Gosling Road from two to four lanes. 5. Hufsmith-Kohrville Road widening Segment 1
Harris County continues work on the widening of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road. Contractor Menade Inc. is expected to complete work on Segment 1, which stretches from south of Spring Cypress Road north to Hollow Glen Lane, in February. The project will expand the two-lane road to a four-lane thoroughfare.

6. Hufsmith-Kohrville Road segments 2-4
Harris County continues the study phase of the widening of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road from Hollow Glen Lane to Willow Creek Estates Lane. The study will establish the alignment and expansion plans for the thoroughfare. The project will receive funding from the $700 million in road bonds approved by voters in the Nov. 3 election.
