After several weeks of interviews, the New Braunfels ISD board of trustees will announce the finalist for the position of superintendent.

Following Superintendent Randy Moczygemba’s announcement of his intention to retire at the end of this school year, the board of trustees hired JG Consulting to spearhead the search for a new superintendent.

On April 19, the board will announce the sole finalist for the position during a special meeting at 6 p.m. at the NBISD Administration Center Boardroom, 1000 N. Walnut Ave., New Braunfels.

Following the announcement, a mandatory 21-day waiting period will be observed before the candidate takes over the role from interim Superintendent James Largent, who assumed the role in March.
