Dos Gatos is owned by brothers Chase and Seth Katz.
Chase said they decided to expand in New Braunfels because of its proximity along with it being a great fit for the community.
“There's no bakery solely focused on kolaches in New Braunfels, so we felt like it would bring something good to the community. We're looking forward to being a part of the business community there in New Braunfels,” he said.
Chase said they are hoping to open the New Braunfels location, which will have a drive-thru and walk-up window, in the first quarter of 2024.
The bakery is known for its homemade Czech and Texas kolaches, such as sausage and cheese, poppy seed, apricot, hatch chili sausage, and more. In addition to its kolache menu, the bakery also offers a variety of coffees and teas as well as smoothies.
"All of our products are all fresh. We try to use local ingredients like local sausages when we can; that's important to us," Chase said.
