Lake Travis ISD voted in December to purchase portable air disinfection devices for large common areas in each campus districtwide. The board approved over $400,000 from their 2021-22 COVID-19 School Health Support Grant for the devices to help purify air and minimize the spread of COVID-19. The grant comes from the Department of State Health Services and the Texas Education Agency to support school districts in safe, in-person instruction during the pandemic through items used for prevention and mitigation.
