The All Together ATX Fund will benefit from a digital telethon all day April 3. Austin Community Foundation and United Way for Greater Austin have teamed to create the fund to provide flexible resources to nonprofit organizations disproportionately impacted financially by coronavirus.

Coming into Friday’s digital telethon, more than $1.1 million has been donated to the fund. The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has pledged $250,000 in matching funds for April 3 donations.

Austin Community Foundation and United Way for Greater Austin have brought together a coalition of philanthropic, government and business leaders to encourage donations that will make grants to local nonprofit organizations working on the frontlines of the pandemic.

Grant recipients will include local organizations with deductible contribution status, units of government and faith communities with nonprofit status throughout Central Texas.

The fund will accept donations large and small from individuals, foundations and companies.

Applications are now open for the first round of grants. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. April 10, and the first round of funds will be distributed electronically May 1. The size of the grants will range up to $25,000 and will help area groups who support residents with food, basic needs, employment and child care.
