FBC Sonshine Academy is closing its doors after the current school year concludes in May.

What to know

Head of School Raylynne Fillman confirmed the academy will be closing and stated there isn’t a large amount of information to be shared about the news at this time. An employee with the center said the FBC Sonshine School will continue to run its childcare programs for infants to 4 year olds.

What they offered

The Christ-centered school offered classes for children in kindergarten through fifth grade using Abeka curriculum for reading, math, science and social studies.

In addition to regular classes, students were exposed to enrichment classes including physical education, music, art, chapel and library.
