Judson ISD on May 3 broke ground on the sixth middle school for the district.

The new school will be located in the northern part of the district adjacent to Wortham Oaks Elementary, according to a May 2 release.

Pfluger Architects designed the 192,000-square-foot campus, and it will be constructed by SpawGlass. The project is expected to be completed in July 2025.

The project will be funded through bond funds approved in November, which allocated $106.85 million for the project.

A new elementary school is also set to be constructed with bond funds. The elementary school project is expected to be bid on in early 2024 with construction scheduled for July 2025.
