Six candidates have filed for a place on the May 6 ballot for the Universal City City Council positions up for election.

Universal City has three at-large positions available, which are held by William Shelby, Richard “Dick” Neville and Bear Goolsby.

Goolsby and Neville will run as incumbents, while Shelby did not file an application in the election.

Four other candidates—Richard Edwards, Ashton Bulman, Christina Fitzpatrick and Bernard Rubal—will also be on the ballot.

With each seat being at large, the top three vote-getters in the election will be sworn in following the canvassing of the votes.

The last day to register to vote in the May election is April 6, and the last day to apply for a ballot by mail is April 25. Early voting will occur April 24 through May 2, and election day is May 6.
