As part of the
I-35 and I-10 downtown repair project, the Texas Department of Transportation announced a series of lane closures on southbound I-35.
What you need to knowAccording to a news release, closures include the right lane of southbound I-35 at the ramp to westbound I-10, as well as entrance ramp closures from Elmira Street to San Saba Street.
The closures will remain in place 24-hours a day, beginning at 9 p.m. Jan. 6-17.
The I-35 and I-10 downtown repair project consists of $25.9 million in improvements along 5.5 miles of I-35 from South Laredo Street to I-37 South/Camden Street, and on I-10 from I-35 to Hildebrand Avenue. Construction is estimated to be completed in fall 2025.
