San Antonio city officials will hold a public meeting to discuss the design of a low-water crossing on George Road on Sept. 12.
The detailsThe low-water crossing—a bridge designed to stay dry while the water level is low and to be submerged when the water is high—is currently in the design phase. According to
city documents, the George Road low-water crossing will stretch from Hunters Bow to Northwest Military Highway. Construction is slated to begin summer 2026 and to be completed by summer 2027.
The public meeting will be held from 6-7 p.m. Sept. 12 in the Phil Hardberger Park Urban Ecology Center Gathering Room, 8400 NW Military Highway.
