The organization Shooting for Success will hold 10 weeklong camps this summer in the Stone Oak area where kids ages 5-15 may learn basic or advanced basketball skills.

The background

Former pro basketball player David “DJ” Jones, founder/president of Shooting for Success, will lead each camp, which is open to boys and girls whether they are a beginner or experienced.

Representatives for Shooting for Success said the camps are designed to help participants develop proper basketball mechanics, a better understanding of the game, and a set of values that can guide them on the court and in their personal life. Lunch is included each day during a camp.
