The special Aug. 26 episode of the Houston Breakdown podcast looks back on Hurricane Harvey five years after the historic and devastating storm.

In August 2017, the Category 4 hurricane brought disastrous flooding to the Houston area, with some areas getting close to 50 inches of rainfall. Community Impact editors Matt Stephens and Danica Lloyd reflect on their coverage of the event as they navigated Harvey themselves. Plus, meteorologist Jeff Lindner and Harris County Flood Control District Deputy Director of Engineering and Construction Alan Black share their memories of the hurricane and how Harris County's recovery has progressed.
