Real estate expert projects complications with rising interest rates

Following a dip early in the pandemic, home prices in Texas' major metros have been increasing at a steady clip, with median sales prices for single-family homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area continuing to set records.

However, with mortgage interest rates on the rise, a market cooldown could be around the corner, according to Adam Perdue, a research economist with the Texas Real Estate Research Center.
