The removal of construction cranes at the site of the future Concho Commons student housing development will lead to road closures on multiple streets from Sept. 19-23.  According to a Sept. 16 city press release, closures will affect portions of Concho Street, North LBJ Drive and North Guadalupe Street from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. due to workers removing two cranes.  Concho Commons, located 101 Concho St., is a 13-floor student housing project that is expected to be completed by 2020. The building, in addition to 585 bedrooms, is designed to house retail and office space.  Concho Street and North LBJ Drive will be closed to traffic between Concho Street and University Drive from Sept. 19-21.  Starting Sept. 21, only one southbound lane of North Guadalupe will be open to traffic between Concho Street and University Drive, according to the city release. Additionally, Concho Street will be closed from Sept. 22-23.  “Flaggers will be present throughout the closure period to direct users of the Our Lady of Wisdom University Parish to their parking lot entrance as well as the parallel and angled on-street parking on Concho Street,” the release stated.
