Georgetown ISD Place 2 candidate Elizabeth McFarland has out-raised opponent Brian Ortego as well as other candidates, according to campaign finance reports. With less than 30 days until the May election, GISD board of trustees candidates submitted their most recent campaign finance reports April 4. The reports detail expenditures and donations from the beginning of January through March 26. McFarland has raised the most money at $7,233. Most of what her opponent, Brian Ortego, has raised has come from personal funds at $1,076. His report said he has raised an additional from other sources $25. Place 3 incumbent Andy Webb has raised $3,775. His opponent, Jennifer Wood, has raised $733. Current GISD President Scott Stribling is running unopposed for Place 1. He has raised $800. Early voting begins April 22 and runs through April 30. Election day is May 4.
