If a live holiday tree was the centerpiece of your décor, here are some ways to dispose it.
Sugar Land
Sugar Land residents utilizing Republic Services can place Christmas trees out for
collection on regular weekly green waste collection days, according to the city.
Residents who are serviced by Best Trash can place Christmas trees out for collection on either of their regular weekly garbage collection days.
Ornaments, tinsel, lights, trimmings, metal tree stands and plastic tree sacks must be removed for collection regardless of service provider.
The city
advises that Christmas trees should not be disposed of in city parks. Flocked trees cannot be recycled and must be disposed of on bulk waste collection day.
Missouri City
Trees are picked up on
bulk collection days in January.
Living Earth
Soil products company Living Earth will allow citizens to
drop off Christmas trees for disposal at their Missouri City location at 1503 Industrial Drive. The company does not accept ornaments or tree stands.
