Shoppers will have the chance to skate at a temporary roller rink set up on the Domain Northside lawn on Saturday, Sept. 8.

The GR8 SK8 event, hosted by Domain Northside, The Archer Hotel and Nordstrom, seeks to raise awareness for Austin Angels, a organization that provides support for children and caretakers in the Texas foster care system. The event begins with a family skate portion, a “dance the decades” portion with music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and a speed skating portion for experienced skaters.

Later in the evening, guests can participate in a “glow skate” and a “Couple’s Skate Date.”

Elsewhere on the lawn, shoppers and skaters can enjoy refreshments, music and interactive sites set up by various Domain Northside stores.
